New lights for the reef tank..

Thought I posted about this, but I guess I forgot.. a week ago Sunday, I traded my power compact setup (2 daylights and 2 actinics) for 3 double T5 strips.. they are from Coralife and each have a 10k daylight and 3k actinic.. granted, the old PC's were over 2 years old, but I seriously don't remember them being this bright.. and that was with just one T5 turned on.. I now have two of them and the moonlight strip on the tank - may put the third on if I decide to get some corals who need it, but may also just do a halide mini-pendant if I get something like a clam or a really nice wall hammer and just "spot feed" it with the halide... anyhow, I took some pics of the tank before and after, but didn't get a whole tank shot without the flash, so hard to tell the difference in the pics.. I'll post those up at some point soon too... along with pics of the new fishies from tonight... and who knows, maybe a marbled cat will be in there for a week or two until I can setup the trigger tank again... don't have anything non-shark safe (other than maybe the smaller chromis) in the reef tank at this point, so not gonna hurt too much...

Also, Dave and I built a new sump for the reef tank on Tuesday, but the epoxy we used didn't bond to the glass for some reason.. need to silicone it in place and let it cure before I put it under the reef, put the live sand in the refugium and put in the new super duper excaliber skimmer I picked up... think I need to get some pics of that before it goes in the sump as well..
