Tested the water and added some livestock to the Reef tank..
Went by the PetClub tonight since Dave called and said they got some cool saltwater stuff in. Picked up 6 Green Chromis, 2 huge astrea snails and a small Haitian anemone for the tank. Dave's holding a marbled version of a banded cat shark for me pending my water params.. until I figure out how I want to track this stuff, I'll just post my params in the blog from time to time..
Also, keep in mind, this tank had no protein skimmer, UV sterlizer or filter media other than live rock and a Millenium 2000 which I did a horrible job of changing the media in (maybe once a quarter!) for the past nine months or so..
pH: 8.4
Salinity: 1.023
Nitrates: between 0 and 5 ppm, hard to tell, but definitely between the two
Nitrites: 0
Ammonia: between 0 and .25
Not too shabby - may actually be able to keep some stuff alive ;-)
